The 1AESS is disappearing. Keep this stuff
alive.
Well, this weekend another Western Electric 1AESS is going to be
switched over to a DMS-100.
A bunch of people are interested in scanning it out before it dies.
You can see
their progress (hopefully they're submitting the numbers as
they go of course!).
If you're interested in scanning as well you can
start
submitting numbers here and/or
get in touch with the guys in charge.
On the other hand if you miss out on the fun I compiled a list of
what I think are
the rest of the 1AESS
switches in the US. Scan those puppies out and show us what's
up.
