Phreak Phactor #5 is up for download.

I'm normally pretty low volume on the phone (just ask Stank) but for some mysterious reason it sounds like I'm perpetually screaming on Phreak Phactor #5. I'm trying to figure out what happened so if you listened to the show just message me and let me know if it sounded like that the whole time.

If it really did I'm surprised that nobody in the admin conference complained. ::shrug::

DigitalAcid and Yauch both suggested that the MSAG information we find should be on a public forum. I definitely agree and I have opened the Bell's Mind MSAG Google Mining area. Post what you find there and I'll do what I can to massage the data into a nice format for everyone to check out.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I think this will get things done a lot faster than before.

Yauch just batch submitted a huge list of milliwatts today. Despite his claim of it being "the lamest text file ever released" I think it's awesome that people are taking advantage of my offer to do batch submissions.

A new batch submission system is in the works. Expect it before DefCon.

Anyone who has information about MSAG (Master Street Address Guide) please e-mail me. I just heard about it recently and I want as much info as possible on the system.

Phreak Phactor #4 is available for download. This is the first show recorded directly from Asterisk, w00t!

Phreak Phactor #3 is up for download.

I think there were fewer problems than last week but we still have some issues to resolve. As always we're chipping away at the project to see what happens.

Someone posted a link to News Breakers in the #binrev IRC channel last night. These guys make it their business to run around and disrupt live news reports. Check it out and watch all of the videos. Some of them drag but some are supremely funny.

Personally... I think it's awesome.

Well, Phreak Phactor 2 aired last night. There were some toning issues but at least it looks like technically speaking the box can handle a pretty nice load.

We're looking for suggestions to make Phreak Phactor more fun for upcoming weeks. E-mail them to mail@phreakphactor.net or ntheory@bellsmind.net.

So far we're looking at:
- Simple user registration to make voting easier
- Smaller conferences (5 people at a time, everyone else muted as greyarea suggested)
- Limited free outdial functionality for registered users to show off cool phone numbers
- A Phreak Phactor VMB

Let us know if you think that these are good ideas and drop us your suggestions before the next show!
